There is a choice of 2-bed, 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, ideal for families and small groups. There are excellent self catering facilities with two well-equipped kitchens.
The Hostel is located in an ideal touring centre with Aberdeen, Inverness, the Moray Coast and the Cairngorms all within easy reach. Huntly is a traditional market town with its own unique history including being the place where the Gordon Highlanders regiment was raised by Duchess Jean Gordon.
The castle is open daily and throughout the year. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area including the Peregrine Watch and the Falconry Centre.
There are many walks from gentle strolls through the Forestry ommission signed walks to harder walks in the Cabrach and the trails between Huntly-Dufftown and Keith. Outdoor types are well catered for with fishing, horse riding, golf,cycling and skiing at the Nordic Ski Centre
