If you think hostels are not for you and your family, think again! Hostelling really is an eye-opening, mind-expanding experience no matter your age. The atmosphere is a social one so families can meet others from all over the world with different languages, cultures and ideas to share. These are places where you bundle out of the door and straight into the great outdoors. Most of our hostels are in rural areas so you won’t be far from the hills, forest trails, lochs or the sea.

Self-catering

Kitchen facilities are great if you’re on a tight budget. They’re ideal for warming bottles, fussy toddlers and hungry teenagers. We love a good spaghetti bolognese, but you can also try out some amazing local produce – from berries and veg to salmon and haggis!

Saving cash by cooking up a storm in the kitchen means you can treat yourself to to a tasty lunch in a local café or an adventure experience for the whole family.

Mucky pups

No one in our hostels will raise an eyebrow when you return from your day’s adventure less than pristine. Dry out your boots and coats in our drying rooms, enjoy a hot shower and make yourself a hot chocolate – you’ll be as good as new.

Relaxed atmosphere

Most of our hostels have lounges to relax in, read a book, play a board game and get your WiFi fix.
